HITTING THE ROAD

A "BIG" thank you to Kylie. Andrew and Kylie came down this weekend - we had a really great time. Kylie helped me get back on my blog. Somehow I had shut myself out, something about not remembering my e-mail address or password or something. (for all of you rolling your eyes, you will be old someday too.)

HAPPY BIRTHDAY LISA !!!!Lisa & Eddie are on their way to Vermont. We miss you guys so much already. I didn't realize how often during the day I would think, "I have to tell that to Lisa." Have a great birthday and we really really really hope that we can get together before too long.

QUINN COMES FOR AN ALL BY HIMSELF VISIT !!!

I know that I am late getting this on the blog, but I wanted to show what a great time we had when Quinn came for a visit "all by himself" !!! (For others requesting an "all by yourself visit"call our scheduling department, and be sure to ask for Grandma.)

The best part of every day is discussing the ills of the world and the political situation over cookies and cold milk.

I think the kids think that Grandpa would actually ruin the back yard if he put in grass.

Quinn was always excited for

Grandpa to get home to challenge

him to a game of soccer.

The last night here we all went to see "Living Legends" (The Lamanite Generation). Quinn liked the bright costumes and the music. There is a lot of his daddy in this boy.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY - MOM !!!

Today is Mom's birthday - yesterday some of her family and friends got together for lunch to surprise her.

I know that you can't tell from the picture, but these ladies are a real hoot. If you don't believe me get Aleene to tell you about the trips these ladies made (without their husbands) to Mesa to play volleyball.

Grandma verses the ice cream cake - watch out when you let Grandma loose with a knife.

Grandma and her sisters - they will smile before and after, but not during a picture.

Thanks mom, for all you do for us and our families - we could never say in words what you mean to us. Just know we love you and are proud to be your daughters.

THE VERY BEST CHRISTMAS PRESENT

Santa came early this year and brought us the very best gift -

little Gavin Mac Papa -born Dec. 15th.

Leslie looked so beautiful holding her new little one - and Mike was bursting with pride -
Gavin had to stay down in the nursery for a while, but the whole family was excited and happy to have him get to come home.

Grandpa & Grandma love him already and can't wait to introduce him to trains, Grandpa picnics, tea party time, & spoil him rotten.

We love you already, Gavin!!!

BOBBSEY TWINS - ADVENTURES IN PIMA

Do you remember Freddie and Flossie? They were the original Bobbsey twins. Well in our family we have our own Bobbsey twins --- Maverik & Parker !!! Our own little Bobbsey twins - what one doesn't think of the other does - they are always ready for adventure and fun ---
Running from adventure to adventure - our little twins take a sidewalk chalk break to express their creative side.

They travel the world over - right from the back yard.

Any game is more fun when you are partnered with a friend.

This may look like an ordinary bathtub - but to our little adventurers it is an Olympic Pool and they just won the gold!!!

Nap time comes - wouldn't you just love to be able to listen to their sweet dreams and hold them forever?

IT'S ALWAYS FUN WHEN GRANDKIDS COME ---

Laura & Micah took off for a little R & R for their anniversary and the kids got to take a vacation at Grandma's house ---

Maverik now has a new favorite movie - Goonies - don't they look like they all just love it.
We got new games for Christmas - Candyland and Shoots and Ladders - Can you guess which one won?

Grandpa takes his job seriously - wear them out before bedtime.

Looks like that plan backfired ---

We had a great time - thanks for letting them come - we love spoiling them and then sending them home.

RANDOM THOUGHTS AND MOMENTS

Carter and Gage came to spend a few days - Carter was ready to go to work.Boys always seem so fascinated when something is torn apart.

Grandma and boys decided to surprise Grandpa and make some cookie dough - Notice the look Gage is giving Grandpa - He tells him you're not supose to eat it your suppose to cook it.

all is better now!!

How can you tell when these boys are excited - let's wrestle!!

You can't come for a visit and not play with the trains -

needed a haircut ---
so Grandma takes him
to the beauty shop and says - "Give him a little boy cut." Maverik doesn't look to sure about this.

Still not looking to sure ---

All the way home he kept saying - "That girl is going to be in trouble - she cut my hair. She just put it in the trash!!!"

Oh well - it will grow back and there is nothing like making Grandma feel guilty to get whatever you want.

WORKING GUYS

A few weeks ago Micah and the kids came down for a couple of day to "help" Grandpa George with the new shower. We had a really good time, but it wasn't all fun and games - Grandpa actually put the boys to work ----

Micah learned about cutting tile - first you have to get the measurement exactly right ---

Then you have to make sure that someone is looking - what is the point of doing it if you don't get any oohs and aahs. -- don't let the look confuse you - that is not his tired look it is his "Do I look cool?" look ---

Then you concentrate and cut - the you take it to George for final inspection.

Even Rocko got put to work - he is leaning how to mix up the thin set - kind of like mixing a cake only "man size". The real trick with this is ---

DON'T LET GO !!!!!

The best part of being a working guy - is getting to play in the mess that Grandpa makes - you know you won't get in trouble for that.
